State your purpose before negotiating the arrangement
Cooperation becomes clearer when each person can explain what they want the arrangement to achieve. If your preference remains invisible, agreement may look smooth while the actual decision remains unresolved. Solar symbolism here can prompt you to name a contribution without assuming that either person must direct the whole relationship.
Choose a real shared plan, such as dividing a project or arranging time together. Write your preferred outcome before discussing the options. Then ask the other person for theirs. Look for a workable agreement and an unresolved difference, rather than treating immediate harmony as proof that the plan represents both people.
Recognition and permission are different needs
Wanting a counterpart to understand your contribution is different from requiring their approval before you can make any decision. Identify which decisions are genuinely shared and which remain yours. This helps a partnership support personal direction without making the other person responsible for maintaining your entire sense of identity.
At the next review of an agreement, name one thing that worked and one term that needs revision. Use specific actions rather than global judgments about the relationship. A seventh-house placement cannot establish that someone is supportive, controlling or destined to oppose you; those conclusions require observed behavior and context.
Occupancy does not establish a Descendant conjunction
The Descendant is the angle exactly opposite the Ascendant. The seventh house is an interval whose boundary depends on the selected system. In whole sign houses, a Sun can occupy the seventh without lying near the exact Descendant. Compare longitudes before using the stronger claim of proximity to that angle.
Calculate houses from reliable birth time and location and retain the method. House seven is not automatically Libra, and the Sun does not gain Libra's sign conditions by being here. The sign, house ruler, Sun placement and actual aspects are separate factors; one cannot fill in the others.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE
Synthetic chart example: Sun in the 7th house
Use the invented chart input 2001-02-03 at 15:47 UTC in Greenwich, UK (51.4779° N, 0° E), with the Tropical zodiac and Alcabitius houses. No real person or life story is attached to this example. The coordinates were actually calculated with Skyfield 1.55 and JPL DE440; they are geocentric positions for this specified moment.
The calculation places Sun at 14°53′ Aquarius (314.886048° zodiac longitude) in House 7. Its Alcabitius interval starts at 4°15′ Aquarius (304.242766°) and ends at the House 8 cusp, 25°40′ Aquarius (325.666523°). The unrounded longitude lies inside that interval and is 10.643° from the nearer boundary. Rounded display labels do not decide the house.
Keep the same time, coordinates and zodiac, then change only the house system: Whole sign places Sun in House 7; Equal house places it in House 7. The planet's longitude stays the same in all three calculations. This comparison shows why a house number must retain its house-system label. The true Ascendant is 4°15′ Leo, and the true Midheaven is 11°34′ Aries; those angles remain distinct from a system's numbered cusps.

Does Sun in the seventh house guarantee marriage?
No. Partnership is a symbolic topic, not a promised event. The seventh can also concern collaboration, negotiation and other significant counterparts. Relationship choices and circumstances cannot be read from occupancy alone.
Can this placement describe a business partnership?
It can supply reflective questions about a one-to-one agreement. Actual terms, responsibilities and conduct still determine how the arrangement works. The chart does not assess a contract's legality or predict commercial success.
