Identify the decision underneath a disagreement
A dispute may continue because the participants are discussing several issues at once. Separate the immediate decision from the wider history. Ask what each person needs to know or agree before taking the next step. A specific question creates more room for progress than a general contest over who is right.
For a minor collaboration problem, write down the disputed task, each person's responsibility and the smallest decision that would let work continue. Discuss that decision first. This is a proposed exercise in negotiation, not evidence that every relationship involving seventh-house Mars will be combative.
A boundary should leave both people with a choice
State what you will do or accept without pretending to control the other person's response. An alternative, a pause or an agreed endpoint may make a conversation workable. Directness does not require a threat, and cooperation does not require erasing a meaningful difference.
The seventh also concerns collaborators and negotiating counterparts, so begin with the relationship actually relevant to the question. Traditional references to open opponents do not authorize calling someone an enemy from a chart. Their behavior and the real terms of the relationship remain the evidence.
Occupancy is not a partner description or a Descendant conjunction
Mars belongs to the natal chart being calculated. Its seventh-house location does not identify another person's sign, temperament or actions. The Descendant is a separate angle, exactly opposite the Ascendant; a planet somewhere in the seventh need not lie close to its degree.
Check actual longitudes if angular proximity matters. House seven is not automatically Libra, and its ruler follows the relevant chart sign. Keep birth-time confidence and house method visible rather than selecting a division because its relationship description feels more persuasive.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE
Synthetic chart example: Mars in the 7th house
Use the invented chart input 2001-02-03 at 10:24 UTC in Greenwich, UK (51.4779° N, 0° E), with the Tropical zodiac and Alcabitius houses. No real person or life story is attached to this example. The coordinates were actually calculated with Skyfield 1.55 and JPL DE440; they are geocentric positions for this specified moment.
The calculation places Mars at 23°54′ Scorpio (233.899010° zodiac longitude) in House 7. Its Alcabitius interval starts at 12°44′ Scorpio (222.728206°) and ends at the House 8 cusp, 5°20′ Sagittarius (245.331813°). The unrounded longitude lies inside that interval and is 11.171° from the nearer boundary. Rounded display labels do not decide the house.
Keep the same time, coordinates and zodiac, then change only the house system: Whole sign places Mars in House 7; Equal house places it in House 7. The planet's longitude stays the same in all three calculations. This comparison shows why a house number must retain its house-system label. The true Ascendant is 12°44′ Taurus, and the true Midheaven is 18°09′ Capricorn; those angles remain distinct from a system's numbered cusps.

Does Mars in the seventh house mean my marriage will fail?
No. A single placement cannot establish whether a marriage occurs or how a relationship develops. Actual behavior, mutual choices and circumstances matter; a symbolic theme is not a verdict.
Does this placement describe an angry partner?
It cannot reveal another person's temperament. Use the chart as a prompt to examine your actual agreements and responses, and judge a counterpart through their conduct rather than an inferred planetary role.
