What Leo describes
The Sun in Leo places the Sun in its traditional domicile; Venus in Leo concerns taste and agreement, and Saturn in Leo concerns standards around expression. Domicile is a technical dignity, not a ranking of people. A Leo Rising result still needs a recorded time and place.
In this traditional Western vocabulary, Leo is fixed fire, traditionally ruled by Sun. Its opposite sign is Aquarius; that names the other end of a zodiac axis, not an enemy or a prediction about relationships. A sign describes a 30° sector. The planet or angle occupying it tells you which chart question you are reading.
Locate the degree before choosing a meaning

A Sun sign is the Sun's measured position, a Moon sign is the Moon's measured position, and the rising sign contains the true Ascendant on the local eastern horizon. The Ascendant needs a recorded birth time and place. None of these labels can supply the others, and a sign is not automatically the house with the same number.
