What Scorpio describes
Mars is Scorpio's ruler in the traditional seven-body framework. Some modern traditions associate Pluto; that is a different convention and is not silently added to this natal result. A Scorpio Mars and a Scorpio Moon should be read through their separate functions and actual houses.
In this traditional Western vocabulary, Scorpio is fixed water, traditionally ruled by Mars. Its opposite sign is Taurus; that names the other end of a zodiac axis, not an enemy or a prediction about relationships. A sign describes a 30° sector. The planet or angle occupying it tells you which chart question you are reading.
Locate the degree before choosing a meaning
Scorpio begins at 210° of zodiac longitude and ends just before 240°. Subtract 210° from a tropical longitude in that interval to find its degree within the sign. A sidereal calculation may assign another sign because it uses a different reference origin; keep the zodiac setting with the result.
A Sun sign is the Sun's measured position, a Moon sign is the Moon's measured position, and the rising sign contains the true Ascendant on the local eastern horizon. The Ascendant needs a recorded birth time and place. None of these labels can supply the others, and a sign is not automatically the house with the same number.
Try sustained inquiry and earned trust as a question
Take a matter that needs discretion. State what information is necessary, who has permission to know it and when the boundary should be reviewed. Privacy can be clear without becoming a secret test of other people.
A sign cannot reveal motives or predict coercion. Judge trust through stated agreements and observable behavior rather than assigning intent from a chart.
