An exact trine is 120° of shortest zodiac-longitude separation. The calculator reports the difference from that angle as orb and lists the relationship only within the selected planetary moiety-orb limit. Changing an orb setting can change the list without changing a planet's position.

Their shortest separation is 120.280°, 0.280° from an exact 120° trine. The same instant and positions were checked through the complete monthly ephemeris response.
