What this pair brings together
Jupiter may see a useful pattern while Mercury asks what each case actually says. The square becomes practical when a sweeping conclusion is tested against a specific exception. A good broad idea can survive qualification and become more useful because its limits are clear.

Measure first, interpret second
An exact square is 90° of shortest zodiac-longitude separation. The calculator reports the difference from that angle as orb and lists the relationship only within the selected planetary moiety-orb limit. Changing an orb setting can change the list without changing a planet's position.
A dated sky sample illustrates geometry, while your natal result requires your recorded birth instant. House topics additionally need the birth place and house system. Applying or separating uses stored motion estimates; it does not search for an exact future event.
