Measure the 90° relationship
The exact square angle is 90°. Sky Degrees compares the shortest distance between two zodiac longitudes with that angle. The difference is the orb from exactness. Your chosen planetary orb values set the permitted distance; a pair outside that limit is not listed.
A quarter turn is the exact angle. Compare the observed shortest separation with 90° and then with the allowed orb. Merely seeing two signs traditionally called square is not a substitute for the calculation.
Use the symbolism as a question
Look for a practical decision where both planetary topics ask for attention. A square may help articulate a tradeoff; it does not tell you which side should win. Houses and current circumstances can change what the question is about.
What would meeting both needs look like in a specific week, and which assumption about the conflict can you test?
Avoid turning a square into a diagnosis of a person or their family. Describe the measured aspect and use symbolic language as a question, not a verdict.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE
An invented square geometry check
Suppose one longitude is 10° and the other is 101.25°. The shortest circular separation is 91.25°, which is 1.25° away from an exact 90° square. This is arithmetic with invented points, not a calculated birth chart or an observed sky event.

Does every pair in matching signs make a square?
No. The calculator uses measured longitudes and allowed orb, not only sign names. A sign-based clue can differ from the calculated 90° relationship.
Does a square predict what will happen?
No. It is a calculated angular relationship. Any symbolic reading is a prompt for reflection; actual behavior and circumstances must be checked separately.

Birth time and place affect angles and houses. Unsupported or ambiguous inputs return an error rather than an invented chart. Personal results stay in browser state and do not create public result URLs.
