Make one choice before asking for a response
A creative activity contains decisions that can be meaningful before anybody evaluates the result: choosing a rhythm, arranging a game or finding an image for an idea. Identify the choice you want to stand behind. This makes expression concrete without treating praise as the only sign that the activity was worthwhile.
Set aside a short session for something with a manageable endpoint. Make a sketch, write a paragraph or design one playful variation on a familiar task. Choose one constraint yourself. Afterward, explain why that decision interested you before considering whether the result should be shown, revised or simply kept.
Pleasure does not have to become a profession
An activity can be valuable because participation is enjoyable, even when it produces nothing saleable or impressive. Turning every interest into a public identity may change what the activity asks of you. Notice whether you want practice, companionship, experimentation or an audience; these are different aims with different requirements.
If you share the work, ask for a response matched to the aim. You might want to know whether instructions were understandable or which moment held attention. General approval gives less practical information. A fifth-house reading cannot decide that a warm response proves demand or that disappointment means you lack ability.
House five is not a solar dignity
The fifth house is not automatically Leo, and placing the Sun there is not the same as placing it in its domicile. Sign dignity and house location describe different relationships. Read the Sun's actual sign and the chart-specific house ruler separately rather than transferring a sign category to a numbered house.
The calculator reports the Sun's house under your chosen method and entered birth details. Keep those settings with the result, especially near a cusp. Children and romance are traditional fifth-house topics, but the coordinate cannot establish fertility, another person's feelings or the outcome of a relationship.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE
Synthetic chart example: Sun in the 5th house
Use the invented chart input 2001-02-03 at 21:15 UTC in Greenwich, UK (51.4779° N, 0° E), with the Tropical zodiac and Alcabitius houses. No real person or life story is attached to this example. The coordinates were actually calculated with Skyfield 1.55 and JPL DE440; they are geocentric positions for this specified moment.
The calculation places Sun at 15°07′ Aquarius (315.117008° zodiac longitude) in House 5. Its Alcabitius interval starts at 0°20′ Aquarius (300.329555°) and ends at the House 6 cusp, 0°06′ Pisces (330.103225°). The unrounded longitude lies inside that interval and is 14.787° from the nearer boundary. Rounded display labels do not decide the house.
Keep the same time, coordinates and zodiac, then change only the house system: Whole sign places Sun in House 5; Equal house places it in House 5. The planet's longitude stays the same in all three calculations. This comparison shows why a house number must retain its house-system label. The true Ascendant is 2°01′ Libra, and the true Midheaven is 2°37′ Cancer; those angles remain distinct from a system's numbered cusps.

Does Sun in the fifth house mean I should become an artist?
No placement assigns a profession. Creative choices also appear in teaching, hosting, design and private hobbies. Interest, practice, resources and real feedback are more relevant to deciding what work to pursue.
Is this the same as a Leo Sun?
No. Leo describes a zodiac longitude interval; the fifth house describes a local chart division. The Sun may occupy either, both or neither. Keep the two labels separate before combining their symbolic meanings.
