What this calculator tells you
Your Saturn sign comes from Saturn’s geocentric longitude at birth. This tool returns the actual degree, house and motion for the entered instant. It calculates a natal placement; it does not infer a Saturn return date from your age.
A natal Saturn placement is a fixed reference
The natal result refers to the birth instant shown beside it. Current Saturn occupies a different position on a different date. Comparing the two requires keeping those timestamps visible rather than replacing the birth placement with today’s sky.
Saturn returns are commonly discussed in age ranges, but an exact return needs a separate search for a longitude match. Retrograde motion can produce more than one crossing. The existing transit overlay can show a selected date; it does not solve those crossing times automatically.
Retrograde and house placement answer different questions
A retrograde label means Saturn’s calculated apparent longitude speed is negative. It does not mean the house order runs backwards or that the sign has changed. The result reports motion and house in separate fields.
Traditional symbolic readings associate Saturn with limits, structure and responsibility. Those themes are not measurements of a person’s worth or a prediction of hardship. Inspect the position, house and enabled aspects before forming an interpretation.

Saturn in the fixed Greenwich example
The preserved example has Saturn at 10°24′ Taurus in House 1, retrograde. It also contains a Sun–Saturn trine with a stored orb of 0.026731°. This illustrates why the degree and aspect list can be more specific than the Saturn sign alone.
This preserved, fictional example uses 1 January 2000, 12:00 UTC, Greenwich (51.4779° N, 0°), tropical zodiac and Alcabitius houses. Its stored source is Swiss Ephemeris 2.10.03. New calculations use Skyfield + JPL DE440; the historical example is not relabelled as a new calculation.

Is this a Saturn return calculator?
No. It finds natal Saturn. The full chart can calculate transits for a selected date, but there is no exact Saturn-return event search in this tool.
Can Saturn be retrograde at birth?
Yes. The result labels Saturn retrograde when its calculated geocentric longitude speed is negative. This describes apparent motion, not a reversal of its physical orbit.
Do I need a birth time to find Saturn’s house?
Yes. Houses depend on the local chart orientation at birth. An approximate or invented time can give an unsupported house placement even if Saturn’s zodiac sign is unchanged.
Calculation & interpretation

Worked arithmetic and geometry examples are labelled separately. Astrological meanings are symbolic conventions, not established scientific predictions.
Birth time and place affect angles and houses. Unsupported or ambiguous inputs return an error rather than an invented chart. Personal results stay in browser state and do not create public result URLs.
